This is a complete run of Silver Surfer for the NES. Many people consider this one of the hardest NES games, but I tend to disagree. It does require a lot of strenuous button mashing and avoidance of tricky obstacles, but there are harder games out there.

In this run I die 0 times. This feat took numerous attempts over the span of the last 2 days, and during one attempt I even died when the final boss was nearly dead. I have a few lucky breaks and close calls, but I succeed in the end. You might notice my finger gets pretty tired in the last boss fight; it's pretty exhausting.

It's worth noting that dying in this game will make you lose your power-ups, and can make the game much much harder, as is the case in plenty of other shooters. It's probably not as bad as say... Abadox, where it is pretty much impossible to get by without power-ups, but it's still rough.

Windows Movie Maker cuts every other frame it seems, so when I have the fire shot power-up, you usually see only the fire bullets or only the regular, when in fact a single shot shoots 1 of each type. I don't think anything else is noticeably missing, though.

Of course, no save states, slowdown, turbo, etc. was used in this run.
