Silverain Plays: Glory Hunter Demo v0.2 Ep4: I was That Close To The Chapter End?! [END]
1Mexican indie game developer César Arminio with his design studio 2think (creator of *Pato Box*) and software house Bitmap Soft are teaming up to bring you Glory Hunters, a new physical release for the Game Boy with their Kickstarter campaign.
Glory Hunters is advertised as an all-new action-adventure RPG for the original Game Boy with a unique and original twist: you progress through the game by obtaining achievements.
The project is quite ambitious aiming to have the largest the map in a Game Boy game to explore freely (when your not stopped every 5 steps by a guard), and to have 20 hours + of gameplay and high replay value.
Honestly though it feels like you could replace achivements with gold pieces and nothing would change, also the game relies far too much on fake longevity by forcing the player to repeat tedious actions in order to progress.
It does have a good concept and finding exploits is certainly interesting but it makes the game hard to focus on.
