Back in 2002, Adam Sessler meshes himself into his homonymous Maxis ID and dives into the great sweetness from E3 2001: the so-spoken-about The Sims Online, then on its freshest retail version. In spite of the MMO's undeniable potential of sociability and fun, the TechTV "VJ" can't help noticing how even crowded rooms are inclined to be awkwardly lifeless when the players dedicate most of their online time on AFK activities (such as money-making and skills improving), which seemed to be all of his fellow Sims' main stuff to do. He points out, however, that the fun you may have at TSO is merely a product from one player's voluntary efforts on making their and everyone else's experience interesting.
