Ponyo is one of my favorite films- as is the case with effectively every Hayao Miyazaki film. I recently bought the art book and it inspired me. I like to do silly and simple little sketches, and this felt like a good match

I have chronic Lyme Disease, Babesiosis, and probably a few other co-infections that have made me physically and mentally unwell to a degree I have never before experienced. Among the agonizing pain surging through my body and intense depression I also lost my ability to sleep. Sometimes I draw to pass the time and I document it here.

In the future I might make this an ongoing series and make little bits of fan art in an effort to distract my brain from the intense pain that is life. If you know what I like and have suggestions you’re more than welcome to comment for my consideration

To my friends I continue to apologize for my absence. I miss you as strongly as I love you. I’m tired of causing suffering and pain to others because of how my life has been impacted by this all, and I sincerely apologize for it all.
