Skip Three Rooms in Mega Man II with this Ladder Glitch - A Wild Glitch Appears! #megaman
In Mega Man II for the Nintendo Game Boy, using the Hard Knuckle ability during downward screen transitions can cause the game to glitch in ways that are sometimes predictable. During Top Man's level, there's an area where this strange exploit allows you to skip three rooms, saving significant time.
At the end of the long-ish room with the Construction Woker enemies, you'll find a ladder leading down and a ledge just above it with an Extra Life. Here's where we're going to use the trick.
Equip the Hard Knuckle ability. Stand on top of the ladder leading down and quickly tap DOWN on the D-Pad so that Mega Man is hanging on the ladder and his wrestling tights are just barely off screen.
There's a little bit of leeway here, but generally for this trick you will want Mega Man on the ladder with his undies just barely out of vision. Sometimes it works if you can see the top pixel of his tights, but I like to make sure.
Regardless, once you're in position with Mega Man on the ladder with Hard Knuckle equipped, press B and A at the same time. If done correctly, the downward screen transition will begin, but will be abruptly interrupted, and Mega Man will be standing on solid ground, even if it appears otherwise.
Now run to the left while jumping. It may not look like it, but the room's layout will be identical to the room just below where we started the trick. So there's a short staircase going up and left, with a ladder on the left side of it. Stairs are the worst, for the record.
But once you're on the left side of this glitchy room, climb down the invisible ladder until Mega Man's tights are once again just out of view. With the Hard Knuckle still armed, press A and B at the same time again.
This time, Mega Man will fall through another series of glitched rooms until he eventually ends up in a normal looking room with one of those vacuum frog robot enemies. Nice work! You've just skipped three rooms!
This trick saves... idk a good eight seconds in a speedrun I would estimate? But I learned this trick from a YouTuber named @Meechree - https://youtube.com/shorts/huOslyNvimY?si=PE-ow9iGK0BWa1bR

What are some other weird tricks in old games you know about? I want to make more of these quick shorts, so leave a comment to suggest more glitches, Easter Eggs, and weird things!
