skull902 - Idiot With A Mic (Full Album, Clean)
Thanks to your generosity during Extra Life 2022, we have the first (and probably only, considering the way it came out) skull902 album, Idiot With A Mic! A mix of original rap songs and covers of songs covering other genres.
This is the clean version of the album. To hear the explicit version, go here:

The track list is as follows:
(0:00) 1. Intro
Just me explaining the album, why it's here, and thanking everybody for donating to charity to make this possible. And also a warning that what you're about to hear isn't great.
(0:38) 2. Pepsiman Rap
Music composed by James Shimoji
The first ever song I wrote. Did on a whim back in 2014 after watching someone's Pepsiman longplay and thinking the music from Stage 2 would make a good rap song. Wrote it to make Pepsiman look badass, with a couple references to the commercials in there.
(1:31) 3. Dazzle In The Desert
Music composed by Tee Lopes
Wrote this one in 2017 on a dare while I was taking part in RagePlayComms' playthrough of Sonic Mania. I love this track, which made it easy to write the lyrics to. Kinda-sorta from Knuckles' perspective but included bits like the train from Sonic's Act 1 so it's a bit of a mish-mash.
(3:03) 4. Your Love Is My Love (SA2 Mix Cover)
Music composed by Jun Senoue
Lyrics by Dizzydennis
As Dennis puts it himself, this was a song he wrote in 1999 while playing Sonic Adventure as a child, with the Japanese verse coming much later. Always fun to hear him sing it during his streams, and to sing myself when I'm playing the Sonic Adventure games. For this cover, I chose the SA2 version of the Speed Shoe theme because Dennis usually goes with the original.
(3:31) 5. An Extremely Stupid Ninja Rap
Music composed by Michael Hunter
Written between 2017 and 2019 (it took a while for me to figure out what to do with the second verse), I had a listen to the song and thought to myself "I think I could do something to this". The result is a song about Rabid, Josh, and I fighting ninjas.
(6:08) 6. A Night With Friends
Music composed by Lakey Inspired (source: • LAKEY INSPIRED - Warm Nights )
In 2019, I was going through a rough spot. Dealing with the long-term after-effects of a cold I had early in the year, my stomach was constantly killing me and I had little energy or motivation to do much of anything. A good chunk of my time was spent watching those story videos with the royalty-free music in the background, this being one of those songs. I sought it out and got the idea to write a song about my friends and I all just having a night to hang out and do a bunch of wacky stuff. I really wanted better days to come with what I had going on at the time.
(8:20) 7. Leo Luster (Cover)
Music and lyrics by Pure West
This song is legit, and so is the subject of its lyrics. I couldn't NOT do a cover after finding an instrumental. I don't really do the song justice, but the temptation was too high. I love the song so much.
(9:52) 8. The 902 Pad
Music by Jim Johnston
I heard this one while watching the Armageddon 2003 pre-show edition of WWE Sunday Night Heat and what an obscure find. Immediately loved the way it sounded and thankfully found a full studio-quality rip of it. Considering the way the song sounded, I figured romance should be a theme in the lyrics, so naturally it's about me being an idiot and not noticing my date went off with Rabid. This was written in September 2021, which is about a month before Rabid actually hooked up with Georgia, so uh...oops. Thanks to both for granting permission to do the song after the fact!
(12:18) 9. Vandalize (Cover)
Music by One OK Rock
Lyrics by Taka, Rob Cavallo, Derek Tyler Carter, Andrew Decaro, and Sasha Sirota
From the time this song came out, I've loved it and I think it fits Sonic Frontiers perfectly. Unfortunately, though, I think this is the worst song on the album in terms of my performance. It was the first song I recorded; through a combination of my singing sounding worse than I thought it was going to, as well as nervousness, it definitely could've been better. I tried doing some vocal effects on it like the original but that somehow made it sound worse so you get a version that sounds like a guy out of his element singing it during Karaoke Night.
(15:32) 10. Dedication
Music by Ryini Beats (source: • Rock Rap Beat [Instrumental 2017] )
I was looking around for songs to potentially use one day, and came across this one (as well as another) by Ryini Beats and it sounds SO badass. I knew it had to be a little less lighthearted than most of my other songs from the way it sounded, so I wrote it to be a promise that I'll stay true to myself as a content creator, and say thank you to my friends and fans for sticking around for so long. You keep me going, and I appreciate you all for that.
