Exclusively for #PlayStation5 consoles. The game features various improvements, the episode features Yuffie infiltrates Midgar to steal a special Materia from the Shinra Corporation for her homeland of Wutai, working alongside a cell of eco-terrorist group Avalanche.
Tetsuya Nomura commented that the word #intergrade was chosen for the title for meaning both "middle" and "to move", as this Remake Intergrade serves as a mid-point between the first and second installments of the Final Fantasy VII Remake series of games as well as a move from one system to another.
2005 at the Sony E3, Square Enix showed a technical demo for the PlayStation 3 depicting the opening sequence to the original Final Fantasy VII remade with the PlayStation 3's enhanced graphics.
Following years of rumours and fan requests, #FinalFantasy7 was announced during Sony's conference at E3 2015. Visual Works created the announcement trailer. Square Enix's stock prices rose to their highest rating since November 2008, and the YouTube release of the reveal trailer garnered over 10 million views in the following two weeks. The game was next showcased at the 2015 #PlayStation Experience, demonstrating cutscenes and gameplay from the opening sequence.
The game is being developed by Business Division 1 of #SquareEnix, helmed by Yoshinori Kitase as producer (the original director of #FinalFantasy VII) and Tetsuya Nomura as director (original character designer also the director for #FinalFantasyVII: Advent Children and the Kingdom Hearts series).
Entirely remade, using the story and characters from the original, and will be released in parts. Each game in the project will have a volume of content compared to a standalone Final Fantasy game. The disc version of the first game is a two-Blu-ray Disc set. The Remake is a reimagining of the original game that goes deeper into the world and characters.
