Having acquired no fewer than *three* Elder Scrolls, we now head to Ancestors' Glade in Falkreath to finally put them to good use. Now I admit I've never played any of the previous Elder Scrolls games (something I want to rectify in the future), and I'm not even sure that the actual "Elder Scrolls" even appeared in any of them, but I feel fairly sure that this idea that anyone can read an Elder Scroll *and* not go blind if just you go to the right place and use the right McGuffins was just made up for the Dawnguard DLC. Yes, there's a line in there somewhere by Dexion that we have to be chosen or destined or some such like that, but I'm not going to lie that this part of the questline feels like lazy writing to me.

Regardless, we head to Ancestors' Glade, perform the ritual, get a map marker for our trouble, and fight off a Dawnguard hit squad who somehow finds us. I will say again that I appreciate the effort that went into designing the locations for the DLC, as Ancestor's Glade is quite impressive even if it doesn't have the scope of the Soul Cairn or Forgotten Vale. Speaking of which, we head back to Whiterun afterwards for a sort n' sell, and next time we're off to Darkfall Cave, which ultimately will lead us to the Forgotten Vale.
