A deviation from my previous run: instead of getting Dawnbreaker at such an early juncture and plowing through the questline with it, I'll save it for later. Voskygge, too -- these "mythic" foes will come later in the storyline, while Sigrun continues with the rather mundane Civil War as an auxiliary soldier.
They really should've done better with the whole Civil War thing. The mods that add related content are well-conceived but too... disruptive... to the basic game architecture. I always get chary of modding my game until it's basically Crusader Effect: Elden Fantasy Age IV. I still want my Skyrim to be Skyrim.
In this episode, I whirlwind my way through the Solitude fetch and talk quests, then sign on as the most badass commando in the Legion.
Fort Hraggstad is the hardest as a level 20+ heavy-armor Imperial Legionary with limited magic, only Fus, and no enchanted gear. I can just about do it, but I need to cheese by exiting the cells; they won't come out into the open. With Sigrun at level 35, even though most of the level bloat is from Smithing that she hasn't utilized yet, she has her damage-boosting gear and her spells. She also has the full Fus Ro Dah.
Raven Umbranox, of course, would make Fort Hraggstad look comically easy. :p
