Skyrim Special Edition Comparison: Original vs Remastered vs Modded
I compare the graphics of the new Skyrim Special Edition, a remaster, with the original 2011 game and a modded version. The original game is the Legendary Edition so it has the HD Texture Pack installed, but I think that still counts as vanilla. For the modded version I installed the following mods:
Skyrim HD - 2K Textures
Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM
RealVision ENB
Verdante - A Skyrim Grass Plugin
Natural Grass Texture Floor
Skyrim Flora Overhaul
Trees HD
4K Parallax Tree Bark
Immersive Fallen Trees
Realistic Water Two
Watercolor for ENB and Realistic Water Two
HD Enhanced Terrain
Skyrim 2016 Terrain Parallax STP by Pfuscher
aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Caves and Mines
Real Glaciers
2k-4k parallax Bridges by Pfuscher - Dat Bridges
Fences of Skyrim
Alternative Road Textures
AOF Detailed Mountains
Enhanced Lights and FX
Ultimate HD Fire Effects
Real Clouds
Climates of Tamriel - Weather - Lighting - Audio
Xenius Character Enhancement
No More Blocky Faces
Better Females
Detailed Bodies
Better Beast Races
Detailed Faces
High Quality Eyes
Superior Lore Friendly Hair
aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Creatures
aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Weapons
aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Armors
I'm not the typical modder, this was the first time I used mods including the Nexus Manager, but I think these are good ones, although I'm not satisfied with the lighting (sometimes too bright, sometimes too dark) and the characters' bodies aren't looking much better either.
