I have some bad news for people who think Skyrim: Special Edition will be able to use all the Skyrim mods on release. The biggest obstacle to getting Skyrim mods over to the Special Edition is actually that many of the really popular mods require SKSE. I asked the SKSE team how long they thought it would take and basically they are not sure but at a bare minimum they expect it to take a few weeks, and probably more like several weeks. To further complicate things they have no idea how much of the old script support can be reused and wont know until they get their hands on the game. This could mean further delays on some or all skse dependant mods.
