3Welcome to a sleepy Sunday let's play of The Away Team developed by Underflow Studios! The Away Team is an interactive sci-fi choose you own adventure game where you as a ship's AI must help the last surviving members of the human race find a new home on some far flung planet trillions of miles away from a decaying and dying Earth. This is a rather slow game compared to some of the others I have brought to the channel so I've decided to feature one episode per week as a wind down to the usual videos I put up and so, (I would hope) will be a nice way to chill out before it all starts back up again on Monday!

In this episode we start off bold and unabashed, fast and loose, one hundred miles an hour... and then we pay for it BIG TIME! We then go on to talk to the AI of the planet and we then have to give the group down on the planet a choice; to live here and render myself with no purpose or to gather them up and continue to search for a perfect planet. (if one even exists!) This puts you in a quandary as a player because you want to carry on playing but at the same time your goal is to make sure the inhabitants of the ship get to a safe and secure planet to restart the Humankind...
What to do? I guess you'll have to watch to find out!

By the dawn of the 22nd century decades of climate change, warfare, and famine had left Earth in a hopeless state. As a last resort, dozens of AI-piloted spaceships were sent into deep space to find a new home for humanity. Your ship--the fastest, the finest, and the last--carries the last few humans in the galaxy.
You are the AI in charge of Earth's final interstellar spaceship, tasked with delivering your human crew to a suitable new home among the stars. The fate of previous ships is unknown--with a set of galactic maps to guide you, it's your job to decide which planets to visit, which crew to send down to the surface, and which choices they should make along the way. You are humanity's last hope.

Each of ten possible crew members has a distinct set of attributes, traits and flaws that will impact your chances, so choose wisely! With over 30 planets and stations to visit, over 700 choices to make, and near-infinite randomized sector maps to visit, there are countless paths to take across the galaxy.

Over 85,000 words of text across multiple playthroughs provide a rich storyline full of action, suspense, drama and horror. Can you find your way down all four paths to victory?
Customizable
Lua-based missions and json-based data files make writing and scripting your own characters and missions simple. Write yourself into the game, or include your friends and see who survives.
Eat Your Crew
Food and fuel are hard to come by in deep space. Choose wisely but quickly in charting your course--when supplies run out, tough decisions will be in store, and cannibalism might be the only option...
