Slipstream Review | Nintendo Switch
Mixing elements and visuals from a 2D era with contemporary gaming mechanics, Slipstream is a heady rose-tinted mix of speed and adrenaline. Watch our full review to see how it shapes up in a packed retro-racing crowd.
We tested it on the Nintendo Switch, but it's also newly available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One too, plus backwards compatible with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It's also been available on PC via Steam of GOG since 2018.
Across multiple game modes, single-player and split-screen multiplayer, there's plenty to play through, and the synthwave soundtrack and faux-2D visuals combine to deliver a distinctly early-90s vibe. But it's the handling model that truly sets Slipstream apart.
