SM64 Hack: My Custom Title
Here a short video of a custom title I made by using Skelux's SM64 Model Replacer. It simple but sweet looking title. I wanted to include "Super Mario" in the title but there was no room plus the logo is already using large amount of polygons.
Making this title was the same as making a level but you want use a least amount of polygons as you can. You can make your own texts by using the drawing line as seen in Skelux's video which use less polygons or You can use the 3D text feature which use a lot more polygons and may not import depending on the model size. If you going to use the 3D text be sure to unchecked the extruded box and that will make your title 2D. Also when choosing textures be sure the texture is 32x32 or you title may turn out glitchy looking but sometime that may not help.
Other things to keep in mind
- Keep your title small (my title size in GS is 5'x 10')
- Keep the polygon count small (My title 384 polygons)
- Use 32x32 textures
- Your title will be mirrored if you are using GS.
- When using 3D text choose a simple text like Arial Black text.
- Be sure to unchecked the extruded box for a 2D title.
I hope this helps!
