Well it was official patch today and Rama is now out on the main client!

He wasn't quite as fun as I thought he'd be but I can tell he's similar to Ullr in that he's not a pick-up and play type of God, you need time to adjust to his mechanics.

His passive is Astral Quiver: Rama's Astral Quiver generates an Astral Arrow every 15s. Also, every basic attack that Rama lands will reduce the amount of time to generate an arrow by 2s. Astral Arrows are used with his other abilities.

His passive is what separates him from other hunters. He wants to save these arrows for key moments so he can use some of his skills.

Astral Strike: Rama switches to a more powerful arrow that pierces and slows enemies by 20/25/30/35/40% for 1s and deals 10/20/30/40/50 bonus damage. This ability consumes 1 of Rama's Astral Arrows with every shot. Rama cannot toggle this ability if he has no Astral Arrows. Costs 1 Astral Arrow.

A move that can clear and might be nice in team fights but really the slow is probably the selling point since people usually won't line up for you in a nice row for the piercing to work unless they are ulted by someone like Ares or Hades. :P

Pick Me Up: Passive: Any time an enemy is hit by an Astral Arrow there is a 10/20/30/40/50% chance that an Astral Arrow pickup will appear on the ground (Only procs on the first enemy hit by Astral Strike). The pickup adds one Arrow to Rama's Astral Arrow count.
Active: Rama gains 30/35/40/45/50% increased attack speed for 5s.
Cost: 80/85/90/95/100 mana.
Cooldown: 15/14/13/12/11 seconds.

Pretty helpful skill you just need to remember to use it at the right moments.

Rolling Assault: Rama performs a roll in the direction he is currently traveling. After performing a dodge roll, for 5s Rama's next in-hand attack will consume an astral arrow that cripples the target for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2s and deals 20/40/60/80/100 bonus damage. Rama incurs no movement penalty during this shot.
Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 mana.
Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 seconds.

This is his dodge roll and it is NICE. While it doesn't make you immune to CC the way it can be used to get in or out of a fight allows for a lot. I love the cripple effect it can provide for the next astral arrow too. No one on the enemy team seemed to realize they could still CC me during the roll.

Astral Barrage: Rama launches into the air and shoots 3 powerful arrows at the ground, each successive shot increasing in damage: 50%, 75%, 100% of 250/350/450/550/650 (+80% of your physical power) and decreasing in AOE size: 30, 20, 10.
Cost: 100/110/120/130/140 mana.
Cooldown: 90 seconds.

This one is pretty hard to land but awesome when you do. It's kinda not so great for starting things up but meant to catch escaping opponents or if they're all grouped up. Just remember the AOE shrinks though with each success. Annoying if you face off against a Janus who will vanish his weak/dying team-mates to save them. Very nice when you do land it though.

Design wise, he's pretty much just like you'd expect, they didn't really change him personality wise either, he's true to Hindu Mythology for the most part.

As for this game, it was not a bad game at all. Our Ra was pretty good I must say. Shame he wasn't trying out the Ra'merica skin lol.

Just also note, you know how this Apollo in the video does a panic ult to try to run away? Note that Rama's ult CANNOT be used as an escape. It takes time to start up and Rama can't just float back to base with it. You'll probably die so use it when safe.

What's my opinion on him? He's not bad but not my style, I prefer harder CC on my favorite Gods for the most part. We'll see how to really build him then. I experimented a bit and enjoyed this build for the most part. Maybe should have gotten a Rage too but I feel Qin's was necessary considering their line-up.

And seriously, Janus is not as bad as the clowns whom were queuing up in the week of his release thought. Almost every game now has a Janus in Arena at least and usually they've been on top of kills while being able to save his team-mates at times too.
