This time an actual game of SMITE, albeit a match of the day. This was recorded playing the Arbor Day MOTD. A 4v4 Siege mode MOTD where players choose either He-Bo or Sylvanus. Usually I play Gods for the first time in Arena but...Sylvanus's talents are wasted in Arena IMO so I picked this instead.

I went pretty much full tank this round.

This one was....I'm honestly shocked everyone on my team picked Sylvanus! This made things...harder in a sense. However we sort of had a system and one of the Sylvanus gave us advice, told us what to buy, etc. They got kind of overbearing though lol but at least they were positive and just trying to guide our team so can't knock em for that did get on my nerves at times but I know he had good intentions. The Pestilence suggestion did pay off.

The main thing you'll notice now about Sylvanus is his basic attack is no longer able to own towers/titan/phoenix from afar, still has some range to it but not nearly as crazy as before. His damage also is not great, people do agree on that. So in actual matches building damage on him can be a bad idea. Here some of us had to since...We had no He-Bos!

What else can I say? This does show his tankiness a lot better but keep in mind his physical defense is lacking compared to his magic defense. Sovereignty, Mail of Renewal, Breastplate, etc are good in games with actual physical Gods. Only went Renewal this game for a bit since I liked the effect and CDR.

We had some good teamwork, some rough teamwork lol but we worked better than they did for the most part. Which is pretty good considering we had two full tanks, one hybrid and one damage dealer.

I like this MOTD though, a good way to try out the God and no one will bail on the lobby if you pick him lol. As far as the way the game ended though..I think that was bound to happen regardless. While we lacked damage we had way more CC and tankiness to us perhaps a bit too much for two He-Bos down on their luck.

That probably about covers it. Being able to heal really gives him his own niche even if his heals aren't the greatest. Anti-Healing items really help against him. Divine Ruin and weakening curse etc. He is also pretty slow movement speed wise. So he may not top Geb in terms of being able to save people but he has his uses.

Just have to wait and see how the coming patches treat him.
