On a technical level, Congo's Caper is very competent; the graphics, sound, and controls are all pretty solid. What I'm missing is the story. I understand the ever-popular "save your ladyfriend" plot, but what's up with switching between a monkey and a monkey human? You can still beat up cavemen either way. Also, why was this not just a Joe & Mac game, since it's so similar? Anyway, this seems pretty decent, but being so similar to another Data East series really doesn't help it stand out at all.
