A little blast from the past that I had almost completely forgotten about to upload on here.

So after watching Summoning Salt's most recent video about the world record history of Mega Man 2 for the NES, I was reminded that I had actually participated in a special Chase for the Record segment that SpeedGaming occasionally does from time to time. For those that don't know how this works, 4 of the best players in the world come together to try to beat a certain world record speedrun in a certain amount of time. The game is first introduced by doing a 4-way race to showcase the run off. After the race concludes, the 4 players then have 3 hours to do as many attempts as they can to try to beat the current world record time.

The world record that we tried to break here was completing the VS mode of the game on Very Hard difficulty. As you can see from the video, the world record at the time back on January 2, 2018 was 7:01 by CardsOfTheHeart. As of this video's upload, the world record currently sits at 6:43 by Yoschimidtsu.
