SNK vs Capcom é uma série de jogos de crossover que apresentam personagens que aparecem em jogos criados pela SNK ou pela Capcom. A maioria desses jogos são de luta, e seguem um formato semelhante à série Marvel vs. Capcom da própria Capcom, na qual os jogadores criam equipes de lutadores e os fazem lutar entre si. Os jogos desta série contêm SNK vs. Capcom ou Capcom vs. SNK em seus títulos, com a primeira empresa nomeada indicando a empresa responsável pelo desenvolvimento do jogo.
O suposto início desta série foi uma edição da revista Arcadia na qual havia artigos cobrindo The King of Fighters '98 e Street Fighter Alpha 3, ambos lançados na mesma época. Os leitores interpretaram mal a capa, que dizia KOF vs. SF, para significar que havia um jogo de luta que colocaria personagens de Street Fighter e The King of Fighters. Por causa dessa repercussão, a Capcom e a SNK supostamente por quem? assinaram um acordo que lhes permitiria produzir apenas dois jogos de luta envolvendo ambas as franquias em 1999 (a série Card Fighters (veja abaixo) não eram jogos de luta e, portanto, estavam isentos da regra).
O primeiro jogo da série foi SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash, lançado para o Neo Geo Pocket Color em novembro de 1999. O jogo mais recente da série foi SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium, lançado para o Nintendo Switch em fevereiro de 2021.
A recepção à série foi variada; os títulos desenvolvidos pela Capcom foram os mais bem recebidos, enquanto os títulos desenvolvidos pela SNK receberam críticas mais mistas.

SNK vs Capcom is a series of crossover games that feature characters that appear in games created by SNK or Capcom. Most of these games are fighting games, and follow a similar format to Capcom’s own Marvel vs. Capcom series, in which players create teams of fighters and have them fight each other. The games in this series contain SNK vs. Capcom or Capcom vs. SNK in their titles, with the first company named indicating the company responsible for the game’s development.
The supposed origin of this series was an issue of Arcadia magazine in which there were articles covering The King of Fighters '98 and Street Fighter Alpha 3, both of which were released at around the same time. Readers had misread the cover, which said KOF vs. SF, to mean that there was a fighting game that would pit characters from Street Fighter and The King of Fighters. Because of this uproar, Capcom and SNK supposedly [by whom?] signed a deal that would allow them to produce only two fighting games involving both franchises in 1999 (the Card Fighters series (see below) were not fighting games and therefore were exempt from the rule).
The first game in the series was SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash, released for the Neo Geo Pocket Color in November 1999. The most recent game in the series was SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium, released for the Nintendo Switch in February 2021.
The reception to the series was varied; the titles developed by Capcom were the most positively-received, while the titles developed by SNK received more mixed reviews.
