Snowfield End - NIKKE (Neverland Event)
0The Snowfield event is over and this is the last video I'll be uploaded of it, so here's my thoughts:
The Lumi storyline was definitely interesting, but it meant that the initial fun holiday slice of life had to be changed to tell that story. From the start, it looked like it was going to be a sort of dating sim type minigame where the commander spends time and gets closer to the Nikke that you choose to get closer to. But most of time instead of bonding with them you're trying to help them with a quest that's tied to Lumi's story and requires her help to fulfil them, even becoming the spotlight of a meet up. Ludmilla's route was the biggest offender of this. And well, there's the widely shared criticism of the commander being suddenly extremely shy about fan servicey situations despite having moments of being very forward and having already been in such situations with some Nikkes without the same level of discomfort (Advice commander is sometimes a very different character too). It would be cool if they revisited this concept without a main story that shifts the focus off the commander and the Nikkes they interact with (pure fun, no depression needed).
I wanted to wrap up on the event with all the clips I made of it, so I added "that one" at the end. I suppose the pun in the thumbnail is a good enough warning for people that don't enjoy cringe and I think I'd rather it be the worst part of a video instead of the only part of a video.
