2I was doing a run with most of the mods I had on and one of the mods was the Minecraft Mod. There is one item in particular that may have caused this glitch and that's the Ender Pearl, which teleports you to wherever you threw the knife. I think what happened was when I was in the "dying animation" I threw my knife and the teleport stopped the game from making me dead.
