Silent Hill 2 is a horror experience that I've heard high praise about, but went into it knowing literally nothing. All I knew is this was supposed to be a tremendous game and it was just that. Silent Hill 2 is one of the most thoughtful survival horror games I've had the pleasure of playing with its riveting thematic elements, dark storytelling, and tragic characters. It also was an oddly comforting experience as it dove into the depths of death; a concept that I personally have struggled with since my teens.
