I've met a lot of introverted gamers who struggle with social anxiety, so I put together these 3 gamified mindsets based on my personal experience to help you become more comfortable around people and get out there to have fun. Enjoy these social anxiety tips for introverted gamers, geeks, and creatives alike. :)

Those of us who struggle with connecting with people often end up feeling inferior or not good enough.

We wish we could be bolder, more outgoing, and have more friends.

But when it comes time to put ourselves out there, there are countless negative thoughts and insecurity around who we might be seen as compared to who we are on the inside.

This is how the overthinking and "negative thought spiral" begins.

This is a deep-rooted introverted pain.

We consider what's going on "inside" to be "the real world" because it has so much depth and endless facets to define and explore. All that stuff going on outside often feels like it's just shallow and unnecessary noise.

We love our inner experiences and all the granularity to each emotion, thought, or idea.

Yet when we meet someone new, we can't communicate all that.

Believe me, I've tried. Awkwardly.

And no matter how hard we try, the effort falls flat and we end up having to deal with a poorly constructed hologram of ourselves. And now that it's out there, and it is regarded as a reflection of us, we're stuck with it.

We get stuck with dealing with an external problem that WE CREATED by ourselves.

The outer world is draining enough without us adding even more problems to it.

This leads to more exhaustion, more regret, more restrain, and eventually more limitations on our lives and our future potential.

It took me a lot of trial and error to find my footing and take steps toward leading a happier, less anxious lifestyle. Now, instead of dreading meeting new people, I actually enjoy it.

Does that mean I want to be out of my house all the time? No.

But I'll happily talk with new people and create conversations that leave both of us feeling better off for having met each other.

Wondering how gamers can overcome social anxiety more effectively?

Here's how I got better at it communicating and relating to people.

I help geeks, gamers, and creatives to have more confidence and motivation.
