A long time ago, my two buddies Ehroar and FleshCrunch (and others) began developing this exact strategy for the Oyrx solo. It was the beginning of the makings of the Oryx solo, and was thought up well before the first solo was ever completed. Once players began soloing the Shade straight up, many solos were completed shortly after.

Despite its creativity, there are many flaws in this strategy; they are mainly things that rely heavily on RNG and make the fight more difficult. With this strategy being so early in the development, it's inevitable that a few things would eventually be cleaned up.

1) You no longer kill the Shade. Instead, you switch to Bad Juju and kill thrall to collect your super. Then you die right before Doxology wipes you, and self-res outside of the Shade bubble, thus bypassing the Shade entirely. This does require decent thrall RNG, for if not enough thrall spawn into the bubble, you cannot kill enough of them for a full super.

2) The Shade bubble never disappears. This is by far the biggest flaw, and the number one cause of wipes. Why? The Ogres tend to almost always walk into the bubble. When this happens, they are GONE. This causes 2 problems in particular. First, you are now a bomb short. If you needed 4 bombs to win and both Ogres walk into the bubble, you can now only detonate 2 bombs... and you will fail. Second, you need all 4 Ogres to easily acquire your full super. Every Ogre that disappears just makes it that much more difficult to obtain a full super (which you need to self-res after the bombs detonate).

3) Final Stand. The basic final stand spot is now blocked by the Shade bubble. This isn't too big of a deal, but you must now locate another spot to land the final stun.

This exact run in this video is actually not a good example of most of these flaws haha. This run went incredibly smooth and was the reason I finally completed it after many hours of frustrating fails.

That pretty much sums it up. Overall, not a ridiculously difficult thing to do right now, but it's definitely exponentially more difficult than the regular "kill shade" strat.

Hope you all enjoy this super OG strat finally coming to life in full circle!

Peace!
