A Declaration:
Welcome to the Gameological Dig, a channel devoted to playing games with obtuse and interesting stories. The aim of this channel is to treat these game worlds like an archeological site, meant to be unearthed and studied, so that we may better understand their plots, characters and themes.

Side Notes:
Not quite the behemoth my last episode was, but this one took a great deal of time and effort. I'm am very sorry for the delay. For those wondering why it takes me so long to do these episodes, Ive got a terribly slow macbook pro - a 2009 15" model - which loads footage at the speed of molasses. I wish I could produce these faster, but it's often unbearable to edit this videos together. Yes, I do plan on purchasing a new computer, but that takes money I don't have. I might create a patreon account for such a thing; I haven't decided yet. I feel weird about it. If you guys have any thoughts, feel free to let me know.

Episode Notes:
A surprising amount of content there. Omicron is a small area. Not quite the baby as Delta, but still paltry in comparison to the likes of Theta. Yet, I still discovered a great deal. The halfway point of this video involves tons of supposition, and I ramble on for longer than I care to admit. So sorry, folks. Either way, we're approaching the end. I plan on finishing SOMA in the next episode, which I look forward to doing, so I can move onto other projects. Either way, I hope you enjoy this one.

Game Notes:
To those unaware, Soma is a science fiction survival horror video game developed by Frictional Games and released on 22 September 2015. The game takes place on PATHOS-II, an underwater remote research facility with machinery that begins to take human characteristics. The game primarily utilizes elements of psychological horror instead of conventional scares found in most video games within the genre. Throughout the game, the player will find a large array of clues, such as notes and audio tapes, which builds atmosphere and furthers the plot. Similar to most titles by Frictional Games, there is no combat, and instead the player progresses through puzzle-solving, exploration and the use of stealth.
