Previous video I played Sonic Mania, so I felt like it would be perfect to play a Sonic 1 hack that Mania'd up stuff. The hack is by Baraksha and it was made before Sonic Mania's release, sometime after it was announced. Sonic and some objects are in their Mania style, and the Green Hill Zone layout has changed. Additionally, Sonic can perform the Drop Dash and Spin Dash, but I still prefer the Insta-Shield over the Drop Dash.

But yeah, when I play past Green Hill Zone, I don't really think it was intended to be played that way, as the levels remain mostly the same as the base game, and the boss always takes on the appearance of the GHZ Act 1 mini-boss from Sonic Mania. But I think I found it silly for the Chaos Emeralds to de-Maniafy Sonic at the end of the game.
