That special day of the year has come, and I thought what better way much like last year than to do a Birthday Speedrun, this time on Sonic 3 Angel Island Revisited!

But there's almost one thing to note here, it's that this run has made it game #1000 in the most games played in speedrunning! I gotta say I was pretty excited when just last thursday I was sitting at well over 999 games, said to myself, why not wait until the birthday to do a run and cap off this amazing milestone. It's truly unbelievable how much of a grind I've been putting in to get to this goal, this maybe a wild assumption, but 2000 games played could be the next big goal to grind for, I'm thinking about it though.

Anyways onto the run, at one point earlier this morning while I was doing runs on Metal Sonic, I was mainly thinking of practicing glitches. Decided after I might just stick with glitchless, considering that it's something I'm well use to. This came super close to a Sub 49, but believe from certain mistakes like missing a cycle in Marble Gardens mini boss, much like Mushroom Hill as well. Carnival Night mini boss could have been a little better, Ice Cap 1 sort of had a bit of time loss, other notable acts as well - Mushroom Hill 2, Sando 2, Sky Sanctuary, and somewhat Doomsday. However overall this felt pretty good, I'm at least happy knowing how close it was to Sub 49, I feel inspired to do another run!
