Sonic & All Star Racing Transformed (Outrun Bay) PC Vs PS3
Here's a split screen comparison of Sonic and All Star Transformed running on the PC at 60fps versus the PS3 version running at 30fps. The track is Outrun Bay, one of my favourites in the game being based as it is on one of my favourite racing series of all time, Outrun. Being able to race the Hornet from Daytona on this stage always feels a bit special. I love both versions of the game, but obviously the PC's going to swing it for me as my favourite, being the frame-rate whore that I am.
If you missed out on this game first time around, it's well worth adding to your collection if you're a big Sega fan. It's filled with lots of lovely homages to Sega games of old, from the Outrun, After Burner and House of the Dead themed stages to the fact you can play as the Hornet from Daytona and Joe Mushashi from Shinobi and Gillius Thunderhead from Golden Axe (and lots of other cool stuff like that).
Special mention must go to the absolutely superb soundtrack by Richard Jaques also, with some absolutely thumpin' remixes of old school Sega tunes.
