This take was played on an original GameCube console via the unlockable games in Sonic Adventure DX. It would have been a standard GameCube controller, and probably played on my Magnavox console TV. When recording these early videos I think I got the capture card and DVD recorder around the same time for my band project and tried both. August 27, 2009 is the date that the video was copied to the computer, but not necessarily the date I played it.

It was recorded on VHS then transferred to an old Windows XP laptop using a cheap EasyCap cature card. This capture card had bad audio quality so I didn't record very many videos this way. I ended up recording most of this year's videos on VHS then transferred most of them to DVD, unfortunately in SLP mode which is the worst quality.

In my 2009 game recording video set there are some videos like this one that were first recorded on VHS then transferred to PC with my first capture card also ripped to a DVD recorder and still remained on the tape so it could be re-ripped recently, some that were first recorded onto VHS then transferred to DVD or the capture card then taped over, some that were only recorded directly to DVD-R, some that were recorded onto VHS and recorded onto DVD but also left on the tapes, and some that were recorded on VHS but never copied after all these years.

This is just a full playthrough with the game's audio only and no commentary.

During this playthrough I played through the whole main game as Sonic, getting all the Chaos Emeralds. Then I played through the whole game again as Tails who is not allowed to go to Special Stages and collect Chaos Emeralds in this game.
