Even though gameplay wise Team Dark is functionally similar to Team Sonic, the more prominent differences are enemies and level design. Levels in Team Dark are longer and have more obstacles in the way, while enemies typically have a weapon or shield and more often than not you'll be dealing with groups of them, which is to be expected for a Hard Mode for this game.
