Sonic Heroes centers around four teams of three characters each: Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose, and Team Chaotix. Each team is in pursuit of Dr. Eggman, who has challenged them to stop his new ultimate weapon that will be ready in three days to help him conquer the world. The teams must race through levels, amass rings, defeat robots, and collect the seven Chaos Emeralds needed to defeat Eggman. But after defeating Eggman a new threat rises.
