A new warp skip was discovered by Sam Rowe/InceptionKitten, and several speed runners have attempted it with an uploaded run. I decided to do the same, but chose to capture the mirrored version (and the first on the Nintendo Switch version both in Anniversary and Mirror to succeed a run). It wasn't the 17.66 I hoped, but is fine for now. My runs are always inconsistent, because of two parts:
1. Quick 1-tap spin dash as soon as the timer begins. Fall into the gap where two monitors and a future signpost is without colliding with the wall. 1-tap spin dash, then immediately jump, glide-land onto a platform of 4 blocks, and straight away spin dash as fast as possible. Release at around 5.4-5.5 seconds depending on how quickly you activated the warp glow (if that makes). If timed correctly, you hear a water sound effect, and you instantly run onto the out-of-bounds platform.
2. Like in Wacky Workbench Act 1 as Tails if taking the out-of-bounds warp path, you need to jump over some wall-like obstacles at the correct timing. Sometimes for me, the jumps don't register until you hit the wall. Once you get to the end, spin dash, then you're running to the end of the level (high above the goal post).

I found Knuckles the easiest to execute the warp set up.
