FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
Out of the box, I'm not sure what to say about this headphone. It just seems like a competent, no frills, nothing really special product, at a good price.
In terms of design and ergonomics, it doesn't feel particularly premium, nor does it seem overly cheaply constructed. It turns out this is an on-ear fit but the wide earpads distribute the (somewhat significant) clamping pressure broadly over the ears, so the headphone feels quite secure and decently comfortable. However the earpad material isn't particularly breathable and it certainly isn't quite as comfortable as the around-ear ZX700.
In terms of sound, again we have a sound that is nothing particularly good or bad. It's a warm sound, slightly rolled off in treble, but in general a signature that most people will find agreeable. Bass is warmer than the 10RC and a fair bit woolier / looser too, and overall the sound seems at first listen like a step down from the more textured and controlled 10RC. It certainly doesn't sound like a monitor headphone in the same way that the ZX700 does. In fact they sound so different that comparing them almost seems absurd. One thing to note is that the ZX750 seems to offer better isolation than the ZX700.
It feels like I am damning the ZX750 with faint praise, but it seems like a nice enough headphone with a sensible design and a good price point. I don't think it will set anyone's heart on fire but at the same time I can't immediately think of many sub $100 on-ear headphones that are as well rounded as this one is.
