In Soul Edge a few characters had reversals that'd catch very specific attack types. Taki/Li Long for instance could only catch some High/Mid kicks (theirs sucked), Mitsu catches Mid/High vertical attacks. The goat girl, Sophitia, on the other hand has Mitsu's & Taki's Reversal combined into one making neutral buttons against her dangerous.

Guard Impact in Soul Edge covers high and low weapon attacks. Kicks can't be GI'd in this game & instead will count as a counter hit. This makes Sophitia a very strong defensive character for having (the only useful Reversal) a built in reversal covering these bases along with GI.
