Space Engineers 2024 Kirk's Original Enterprise Vs D7 Full Battle
3It never actually gets much better than watching these 2 ships go at it. I have built and designed hundreds of ships, these are not by any stretch of the imagination the strongest, and yet they evoke something nostalgic every single time.
That nacelle blowing off was spectacular.
These are of course full scale (yes exactly to scale) and powered: "exactly how they should be." That is why the battle lasts as long as it does. Trying to chip away at shields with underpowered phasers is a pain in the ass but if I dial them up then every ship that comes later suffers from a power ceiling.
If TOS era ships shoot green, TNG shoot blue, then post TNG there just isn't a stronger phaser... these are not your problems... these are my problems. I build to the level of accurate performance because vanilla is for cake in my opinion.
For more accurate damage the phasers would need to be approximately 8x as powerful at every level. (Same with every other particle weapon.)
If that happened the shields would need about 2x the power they are using but that would actually fix it.
