This video illustrates a Proof of Concept for a workaround to the inability of connectors to lock to unpowered connectors when it comes to power isolation.

A script checks the state of the connector and detaches the rotor head, thus isolating that section from the rest of the station and the power supply for the programming block/timer/connector assembly. This retains power to both connectors, but allows for isolation of station sections.
