Space Invaders (2002) - Nintendo Game Boy Advance GBA
The classic shooter makes a return on the GBA as one of the coolest simple games for the system.
By Craig Harris About two years ago, Activision and Z-Axis produced an update to the classic Taito arcade game Space Invaders for the PlayStation and Nintendo 64. Activision assigned Australian developer Torus Games to shrink that design down to portable form on the Game Boy Advance. As neat as the console games were back then, the game design is much more appreciated as a portable title. It's nothing overwhelming in terms of gameplay, but it's an extremely satisfying shooter with a nice balance of both mindless action and thinking elements, and it makes for a great pick-up-and-play game that can be enjoyed in quick shots thanks to the included battery save.
