This is video #160 in my series of Tandy Color Computer games and it's my favorite one to date. Space Marauder is an original arcade game that was the winner of the Australian Coco magazine game writing contest in 1987, and was Craig's second winner in a row (he also won the previous year with a game called Pursuit). There are at least 3 versions floating around (0.1, 1.0 and 2.0); the downloadable version here is the latest (2.0). It is basically a space shoot-em-up, where you have to destroy asteroids and collect fuel pods in the first level, and then destroy fireballs and the mother ship on the 2nd level. These objects can only be destroyed with direct hits near their center... a glancing blow just sets off a series of sparks from the object you winged, but does not destroy it. You can fly both left/right and up/down, which helps you to dodge objects that can destroy your shields.
