Top O' the Mornin' to Ya!

TLDR: Kingdom leaders must be willing to speak up when they notice issues rather than silently complaining. When we see something that needs changing, we should be the ones taking initiative instead of waiting for others to fix it.

What?
I recently experienced a situation that got me thinking about leadership responsibility. Our child's third-grade soccer practice was scheduled from 8-9 PM, which seemed quite late for young kids. While I didn't formally complain, I did mention it in passing to another parent during pickup time. As it turns out, someone else who overheard this conversation mentioned that the practice had already been rescheduled to 6-7 PM. This wasn't a major issue in my life, but it represents a common pattern where we notice problems but fail to address them directly.

Why?
I'm sharing this because I realized that as Kingdom leaders, we often recognize issues that need addressing but choose to remain silent or just complain privately. When something bothers us or could be improved, we have a responsibility to speak up rather than simply accepting the situation or grumbling about it.

Lesson
As Kingdom family leaders, it's our job to step forward, make the statement, and say the thing that other people are keeping in their heads. We should be the ones who recognize issues and initiate positive change—whether at work, church, home, or community events. Rather than silently enduring situations that frustrate us, we need to be willing to voice concerns constructively and work toward solutions.

Apply
Think about something in your life that's currently irritating you—something that could change for the better if someone would just speak up. Write it down. Better yet, reflect on a time when you chose not to say anything and just endured it while internally grumbling, whining, or complaining. Recognizing these missed opportunities is the first step toward becoming a more proactive Kingdom leader who initiates positive change.
