Special Enemy Damage Showcase in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
3Howdy Folks, and thanks for watching. Here's a video showcasing shard damage against the three enemies behind locked doors. Build information is at the bottom.
I want to show players how strong they can be at max level and compare that to min-maxing for the highest damage possible. It's definitely not necessary to min-max, but you can get some impressive results if you do.
I'm at level 99 and have all books equipped. I'm using 8-Bit Fireball and Summon Hellhound as my attacks, and all relevant shards are Rank 9 Grade 9.
Normal Build:
Weapon: Main Gauche (gives +10 defense)
Helmet: Diabolist's Cap
Body: Scarlet Dress
Accessory 1: Skull Necklace (shard damage increased to 1.5x normal but cost is doubled)
Accessory 2: Gebel's Glasses (shard mana cost removed)
Scarf: Over the Rainbow
Manipulative Shard: Accelerator
Passive Shard: Red Remembrance (does not give a bonus at full health)
With this build you gain the damage bonus of Skull Necklace but the cost is zero. You can replace the shards I use with your favorites. I leave Red Remembrance equipped because I typically run low-health to increase my Luck on purpose. If you stay at full health, you can switch it out for Money Is Power for about 10 more INT.
Max Damage Build:
Weapon: Main Gauche (gives +10 defense)

Body: Scarlet Dress
Accessory 1: Skull Necklace (shard damage increased to 1.5x normal but cost is doubled)
Accessory 2: Flame Ring
Scarf: Over the Rainbow
Manipulative Shard: Sacred Shade
Passive Shard: Red Remembrance
I switch out Accessory 2 for Flame Ring, increasing fire damage by 1.2x but doubling shard cost. I also use Sacred Shade to give me another 20 points of INT. I equip Red Remembrance and lower my health to get the largest boost to my base INT. Both Summon Hellhound and 8-Bit Fireball do staggeringly high damage all at once, so I choose them when I'm hunting bosses.
