Since Sonic Heroes had a Special Stage theme that seemed to be SEGA's attempt at a J-Pop or Eurobeat style music, and the fact a portion of the the theme somehow reminded a lot of people of Initial D's 'Running in the 90's', A mashup of those two songs was born.
