Spellweaver is an online digital trading card game (TCG), created by a self-funded indie team of seasoned game developers with a passion for card games. It is a game true to the classics of the genre, executed in a detailed and vivid art style, and set in an original fantasy world.

Six Magical Aspects
Each card in Spellweaver TCG belongs to one of six magical aspects – Order, Wisdom, Nature, Corruption, Dominion, and Rage. Each aspect has its unique set of abilities. You are free to choose whatever aspect best suits your style, or go even further – combine cards from more than one aspect in your deck.

Unique creature attribute: Speed. Slower units are unable to block faster units, requiring a balanced deck to have ways to handle high speed opponents.

Hero Development
In the course of a Spellweaver duel, your hero gains levels, increases his or her available mana, and even gains new hero skills by using special cards called shrines.

Customizable Skills
MadSkills3In Spellweaver TCG, we’ve made sure that the spell-casting hero leading your armies into battle is a central part of your strategy.
The hero starts the duel with one inherent skill, but is able to gain additional skills in the course of the game. These skills are provided by shrine cards you put in your deck, so they are fully customizable. Each skill can be used multiple times and can really turn the odds in your favor!

Hero and Card Levels
In the course of the duel, your hero gains levels in the six aspects of magic (read about them below). Each card has a level requirement that must be met before you can play it. With each level gained, your hero will gain access to more and more powerful cards and hero skills.

Advanced Tactical Combat

CreatureSpeed
In Spellweaver TCG it is not only brute strength that matters.
A creature’s speed attribute determines which other creatures it can attack or block. A creature can only attack other creatures with the same speed or less. The same goes for blocking.
This simple rule makes creature speed a deciding factor in combat. While the attack and health of a creature are important, creatures with higher speed are much more versatile.

Interactive Battles
When your opponent launches an attack, there is something you can do about it rather than simply watch you creatures getting killed.
As the defending player, you have the opportunity to block opponent’s attacks with your creatures. In addition, both players can change the outcome of a battle by playing instant spells before the combat is resolved. You can expect a lot of cunning combat plays in your Spellweaver duels!

Front and Support Line
Some creatures are better suited for combat than others. Fortunately, Spellweaver TCG‘s battlefield has a support line, which is protected from attacks.
The support line is the perfect position for frail creatures with powerful abilities. But should you need them on the front line, that’s no problem. You are free to move your forces between the front and the support line.
Another type of cards you will usually find on the support line are flying creatures. Flyers can attack and block from the support line, but are still protected from attacks themselves – even by other flying creatures. This makes them perfect for defense or for quick harassing attacks.

Deck-Building Freedom
Spellweaver doesn’t restricts the cards that can be used in your deck depending on your hero. The decks can freely combine cards from all the different magical aspects, allowing for unlimited deck-building creativity and a vast number of strategies to explore.

Alternative Win Conditions
You can base your deck’s strategy on one of Spellweaver TCG‘s alternative win conditions. If you manage to reach 40 life, or your opponent’s deck has no cards left, you instantly win the game!
