The year is 21XX and humans are no more. It was they themselves that created what destroyed them in turn, a grid of deadly machines, equipped with the most powerful weaponry, named UNITY. Self-replicating nanotechnology and state of the art artificial intelligence eventually spawned the unintentional side effect of self-awareness, with a single objective: to destroy anything that's not a part of it.

And now, after decades of flawless running, system diagnostics have detected an anomaly. A single naval unit has disconnected from the grid.
