Splatoon 3 ☆ 2 ☆ Salmon Run
0In this part, we go through the tutorials and a few rounds of the multiplayer mode "Salmon Run". Which will be somewhat lore-crucial for the main story this time around.
There are a few bosses/scenarios that weren't covered in the tutorial.
- If you encounter large slimes with gaping mouths, throw bombs down their throats, or use jetpack blasts.
- If the arena goes dark and a teammate gets swarmed with fireflies - protect them! The hoard is going to target them, specifically. If you're the one getting swarmed, try and find high ground where it's hard to be surrounded. Do Not stay on ground level! Keep in mind too that salmon swarms always need to travel using the floor - you on the other hand can jump and climb walls. Take advantage of that. However, the hoard Will Not Stop, so whoever has the worst weapon for crowd control (snipers, brushes, etc.) needs to go on egg duty.
- Arial drones will drop golden eggs if taken out before they land. Just be sure at least one person guards the basket if this happens, because they will steal all the eggs back if you're not paying attention.
- Grills with rotating pink fish tails are weak only in said tails.
- If a golden egg package appears on shore far away from the inland goal basket, form a conga line and have everyone start throwing eggs to each other in sections, otherwise you won't make quota in time.
- If you go a fourth round against extra large bosses, collect golden eggs from the smaller (usual) bosses, and use them as ammo. If you have the continuous-fire weapon (pistil, dualies, etc.), focus on keeping the boss' attention and doing regular damage. But if you have a slow weapon, focus on defeating regular bosses and throwing eggs. You don't have to win the 4th round, but it's a great bonus if you do.
Harder Salmon Run modes ("Hazard Levels") will also unlock as you increase your worker rank. So if this doesn't seem like enough of a challenge, I promise you things will get more frantic eventually.
