'why is this a new time?' you may be wondering, this run looks like garbage
Well, after some discoveries by spotty with the speedometer mod on pc, a lot was learned about lock drifting. Basically, the Firestorm has a standard speed cap of about 160-5mph with 'normal' drifting, but lock drifting actually manages to break that, with speeds up to even 180mph. The logical thought was that 'lock drift = fast so lock drift lol' but it turns out it actually raises the car's top speed until you stop drifting, and braking will scrub off a decent amount of speed as well, just tapping the brake will take away 2mph. If the drift is lost, do another long narrow drift/lock drift and welcome back to top speed. It won't necessarily break the game wide open on narrow/technical tracks like Expressway, but open tracks can be pushed a lot farther.
tl;dr: roughly, the new meta is to get a lock drift asap then try to keep drifting without brake as long as you can. in other words, car fast because lock drifts have been understood better. if any of this is wrong, I'm sure spotty will correct me lol
