Spore - Mod DI Upscaled Textures (2K/4K Textures Dark Injection Parts)
56This is a simple mod that upscales textures for Dark Injection parts to be twice as large. Almost all textures were upscaled save for some which were already quite large and, if upscaled, would balloon to ridiculous sizes. Upscaled using ChaiNNer and the 4x HDCube3 model.
There are two versions of this mod - the compressed version simply doubles the size of most DI textures, while still using DDS compression. The uncompressed version uses uncompressed DDS files for the textures. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE UNCOMPRESSED VERSION IS HIGHLY UNSTABLE. If you start having any issues with Spore (e.g. lag, crashing, etc), try using the compressed version of the mod - the uncompressed version is a fucking behemoth at 2gb and probably won't run too well on computers that already struggle to run Spore.
This mod changes how some parts take on paint, as demonstrated above. I'm not certain why. I also probably won't try to change that unless it renders some parts / skinpaints unusable.
