Over eight hundred pupils from thirty two schools took part in the Brighton and Hove primary Schools Cross Country but no one seemed that concerned about the wind and rain.

To help Brighton and Hove City Council organise the event fifty leaders from local colleges and secondary schools were on hand to offer support and guidance.

Children from years 5 & 6 sprinted, jogged and in some cases walked to cross the finish line and the winners were presented with medals and plaques by the mayor and his wife.

Now the top 10 athletes from the year 6 races and 5 from the year 5 races will now go onto represent Brighton and Hove at the Sussex School Games Final on the 7 March 2015.
