Spy Movement and Decision Making
5Just a small look at Spy movement as well as good and bad decisions.
On Wave 2 I usually try to stay behind the Giant Pyros but the occasional knocked back Scorch Shot might cause some trouble.
I could have easily died right away.
You only really have time for two stabs and then you need to get out.
Later on when the triple Giant Banner Soldiers show up I usually try to take out the Battalions first but its honestly a bad idea to try and force myself onto him.
It would have been equally as helpful to remove the Buff Banner or just get any kind of damage in instead of wasting time.
On Wave 3 I tend to try and get a few stabs here and there but primarily would focus on the Giant Scouts.
When the Giant Heavy and his Giant Medics show up its best to deal with them as soon as possible.
Unfortunately one of them popped and I really should have just dealt with the Spybots instead of trying to force the other Giant Medic down.
At the end of the wave I was counting on my team to deal with the last remaining Heavybots but I got left out to dry thanks to the Stock Cloak blinking making my escape harder and unfortunately dying, resulting in more money being lost.
On Wave 4 dealing with the Giant Demomen isnt that difficult but depending on what other bots are around you you really need to pick your fights better.
On Wave 5 the small Scoutbots arent that dangerous and important so you can just wait for the Giant Heavy and Giant Medic to show up.
Afterwards you can deal with the Heavybots from the top right and whatever floats your boat until the second Giant Heavy and Giant Medic pair shows up.
On Wave 6 all Giants have no crits so dealing with them should be fairly easy.
The other bots have full crits but you are ill suited to deal with those as Spy even with an upgraded Sapper so those are mostly left to the rest of your team. Nothing stopping you from taking a stab here or there though.
On Wave 7 you got your job cut out for you. Giants from every side, plenty of opportunities.
Just watch out for crossfire or stray projectiles targeting your team mates.
Also a good idea to remember to disguise if you dont want to die.
