Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon (Reignited Trilogy) - Part 28: Scorch's Pit
Since no one from Evening Lake is ever shown onscreen swimming, returning to that homeworld doesn't have one of them bring you to the finished rocket, so you have to just go there yourself.
The crew that you have brought together to assemble that rocket are as follows:
- Eugene of Frozen Altars
- Crazy Ed of Lost Fleet
- Greta of Fireworks Factory
- Princess Ami of Charmed Ridge
- And your 3rd (but not last) rebel ally, Bentley the Yeti
Remember when I had some issues getting some of the Midday Garden characters to talk about their goodbyes to Spyro? It happens here, too, and it's DEFINITELY glitched, because the prompts to make them talk end up appearing at very awkward angles, as I've had to manipulate, here.
Regardless, for everyone not named Bentley, I'll miss them all, as Spyro uses the Rocket, his final flying ride, to head to Midnight Mountain.
After a detour, that is...
----------
At this point, the Sorceress was on her final straw of dealing with Spyro, as she planned to create a monster that would not only kill him, but ALL dragons, including the babies. Bianca could only wince on in terror of the details the Sorceress provided in how she wanted her upcoming monster to kill all of the baby dragons.
The last rebel of the game, Agent 9, much like Bentley and Sgt. Byrd before him, gets some brand new lines just for Reignited Trilogy, struggling to break his cage free.
From there, the Sorceress revealed that she wanted to kill all of the dragons this entire time, and she specifically needed the baby dragons' wings in order for her to make a magic spell that would allow her to live forever. Killing the babies would be just to get their wings easier.
This was Bianca's final straw! She was so disgusted by her superior's plans that she decided to quit being her apprentice, and stormed away from her for good.
With the Sorceress now on her own, she now put her plan into motion, and transformed a nearby Rhynoc guard into her most terrifying creation yet: Scorch!
----------
Bentley's superior foresight had allowed him to follow Spyro to Scorch's Pit to lend a helping hand. He will help you by providing you with spitable fireworks.
The red fireworks are spat like a machine gun, while the green ones are just shot directly at Scorch like the rockets they are! You can actually stockpile both of them, but you can only use one at a time depending on which color you picked up last.
Some of Scorch's attacks includes covering the ring with fireballs, or more aggressively spitting eggs at you, which release different enemies, such as the crabs of Lost Fleet (and Spyro 2's Aquaria Towers), the TNT weasels of Icy Peak, and even a crazy running fireball of death!
Just keep pelting Scorch with those fireworks, and he'll be gone in no time!
----------
Bianca rushed back to Hunter's cage to finally free him and find a way to stop the Sorceress, but Hunter couldn't quite trust her yet because she previously worked with the Sorceress.
Because of his freedom, you'll be able to see Hunter again in the Sub-Areas you'd normally find him in. For me, this means I’ll eventually return to Honey Speedway to finish it.
Now onward to Midnight Mountain!

See me beat Scorch in his Pit in the PS1 version, here!:
