I do not own Spyro the Dragon in ANY way and the copyright belongs to Insomniac Games. There was going to be thoughts about each level but when I tried to put in the info, the description was too long. I might have a way of showing this besides putting them in the tags.

Hi everyone, this is my first "Spyro the Dragon" speed run that was performed in under 2 hours and was timed by me under Speed Demos Archive rules in which the timer starts when I control Spyro for the very first time and in which the timer ends when I finished Gnasty's Loot. There are rules for this speed run. The only reason I have these rules is because I grew up playing a certain way that somehow got me into speed running this way. Here are the rules.......

Rule number 1: In this speed run, I collect everything, that includes all the extra lives in the game.

Rule number 2: In this speed run, I collect every gem, egg, and dragon in each homeworld in order to advance to the hub worlds of the homeworld. (Besides Gnasty's World; Gnorc Gnexes)

Rule number 3: In this speed run, I go through all the levels in order as shown in the inventory screen.

Rule number 4: In this speed run, I must go through each return home portal at least once.

Go to the following website and read the 15th and final tip: http://www.spyrohints.com/spyro1/secrets.html

It says that in order to go to the final level, you need to fly through all the "Return Home" portals to open Gnasty's Loot. But however I think that doesn't hold true and people can just exit the level by menu and still play Gnasty's Loot. But for some reason, I follow that rule.
In this speed run, I will give credit to people that follow their path for a better time. For example, I follow James Bertolli's path in Stone Hill also Spyrojam86's trick on how to get to the flying egg thief. If for some reason I forget to mention anybody, please let me know.
Also, another major thing about this is that at the very start of the speed run, I tend to mute the sound and just play the music. For 2 reasons. Number 1: The random sounds of all of the crystalized dragons bugs me. And Number 2: I have a dazzle to record this, it seems like a couple of seconds apart. Everything will be off unless I fix it in iMovie. (Do you notice the random green screens in this speedrun? It is caused by the dazzle.)
I am going to list all the mistakes and stuff like that and I am going to have each segment of this speedrun. Thanks and Enjoy! ☺

...

After all of this, I have beaten my goal. If I have a game that everything goes right for me, I think I will get under 01:55:00 and the following sentence I truly believed in: For a perfect TAS game that goes by the rules of this speed run, The perfect game will be in between these times: 01:15:00-01:30:00. I know that seems hard to believe and seems like "No way!" but I truly think so. Also, I would like to thank all of you for spending the time to read all of this and watch my first speed run that went under 2 hours. I plan in the future to make a technical fastest speed run by me that goes under 01:55:00 where I complete levels and parts of the game as fast as I can, then glue all the fastest times down together to make one ultimate speed run for your entertainment, but given my schedule it might take years for this to happen....
